Due to an amazing lifestyle that weaves between uni and work commitments at different times of the year, I’ve moved house between Canberra, Sydney and the Blue Mountains 14 times since 2002, and consider all three places to be home. For this reason, alongside continued support from Canberra’s Onya Bike Philip and Tuggeranong stores, I’m excited and very grateful to announce the additional support of the Bicycle Garage, Lilyfield, in Sydney’s inner-west. Of all the different types of support available to riders of any level, that from a local bike shop is one one of the most invaluable – especially if you ride or race regularly and need considered advice or help with repairs to keep your bike as solid as your enthusiasm to ride it!
The Bicycle Garage is located on Lilyfield Rd at the intersection with James St, along the popular commuter route from the city to Homebush. Since opening their doors in August last year, the shop has become increasingly busy and stocks a comprehensive range of Merida, Canondale and Mongoose bikes. The store is also filled with irresistible smell of fresh, creamy coffee, and a large table full of all the latest bike magazines, begging to be read!
Managers Jeremy Scrivener and James Strong have respective backgrounds in physiotherapy and the restaurant world, so customers can be confident of a professional bike fit and great riding food. Personally I love that these guys wanted to open a bike shop because they simply wanted to see more people enjoying bikes.
