To use such nice things is a privilege and a pleasure. 🥳 · Sharing an enormous thank you to @specialized_au for their support over the last 12 months for producing original content and for having the resources to do so. I hope you've enjoyed some of this content too. 📝 · I've worked hard to offer informed perspectives rather than reviews, along with other creative and opinion pieces celebrating cycling as part of a healthy and precious lifestyle. This is what feels far more real and honest to me as a writer and what I hope resonates with readers. · People are quick to say we need more content by and for women in cycling, but far less quick to fund it. Having worked in this space for over ten years it means the world when a person, company, organisation and/or publication isn't afraid to step up and look at alternate ways of producing that content and make sure contributors are paid for their time. · On a personal note, using equipment like this has been invaluable for rebuilding my health away from the bike after a particularly challenging period, something I'm forever grateful for too. · Photo of the S-Works Epic by @thegayesy, right at home on some of my favourite Sydney trails. It's time to return this bike now (sad!). Kristina is a sports sociologist and ethnographer from Oldenburg, Germany visiting our research team in Cognitive Science @macquarieuni. Today, being a Saturday, was about what makes us so happy to call Sydney home. Thanks for all the laughter! I'm just as excited for the work week too! ✌️
Thank you to all the women who inspire every day. It changed my life stumbling into a community of rad female riders as a teenager. It makes me so happy to see, be part of, and still stumble into *so* many groups enjoying all forms of cycling these days and to think about the incredible support networks this grows for our lives away from bikes as well. · Keep it up ladies! I love how you own your own style, revel in the stoke and how it's always a pleasure to share the roads, the trails, conversations, a good meal or something as simple as a wave and a smile. 👊✌️ · Photos: sometimes me, sometimes other riding friends - thank you too. 🙏
