James Williamson Collected Works Book

The publishers of Enduro Magazine have put together a book of James Williamson‘s writing. It includes articles, interviews, ed notes and stories that he wrote while working with Freewheel and Enduro magazines, and some lovely introductions to groups of work from Enduro’s current editor, Mikkeli Godfree. As a collection, the book invites readers to relive some of the adventures and insights James had as a rider and also invites us to reflect on his development and journey as a writer and a person.

Copies will be available for purchase in about four weeks time. To pre-order a copy, head over to the Enduro Mag Blogsite for more info.

Enduro Issue 18

Enduro 18 is about to hit stands (woo hoo!). This issue hears from iconic riders such as Brett Bellchambers, Jess Douglas, Chris Jongewaard and Jacquie Phelan.  And covers some great riding experiences such as the BC Bike Race, the Cape to Cape and Rotorua’s Whaka 50.  For when your eyes are tired from reading, it’s jammed full of great photos to stare at as you reflect on the riding that’s made up the last few months, and plan new experiences for the months to come.

Looking back over some of the writing I developed for this issue, it really hit home what an impact local clubs and biking communities have on our experience of the sport.  Thanks guys and girls!  I feel so  lucky to be a biker.

Rocky Trail Advertisement

Rocky Trail Entertainment are using words from riders at their previous events as part of their 2011 media campaign.  I like this approach, it builds the profile of some great races and also builds the profiles of some of the riders in the communities these events take place in.

Check out www.rockytrailentertainment.com.au to see more images and to see which of the 25 events they’re hosting in 2011 are for you.
